Trying to think of something to make with my grandson and I remembered these from my childhood in the 60's. Mmmm now where can I find a wooden cotton reel these days?:confused1:

Yea ! I remember making those . We used to get a bit of stiff card board and a cloths peg and clip it to your bike fork to make an engine noise when you peddled . Simple things for simple folk :001_smile:

I remember my dad showing me how to make wooly pom poms.

 

My son (and lead climber) tells me I've got my hoop and stick hidden in the loft.

 

He often asks me how we used to outrun a T rex.

3ft length of pipe, spin it around very fast and it makes a weird sound.. Someone bought me one for xmas around 1970. Times were hard:laugh1:

 

nah you want to dig the end into the ground first then you have a missile launcher to :lol:
