ok guys i hear you.

anyone want a bottle of slightly used homebase "really good" 2 stroke oil :confused1:

Use it to oil the garden gate, I would want the cheap stuff even for free.

If your only mixing 1/2 a litre at a time I take it your only using the saw occationaly right. Sooner or later your going to find fuel has gone off and your getting starting problems. You may as well first as last buy yourself a gallon of Aspen2 which should last you a while, no more worrying about oil mix its all done and you can leave it in the saw all winter.

Saves loads of hassle :thumbup1:

Hi

I am an occassional user as well and recently got fed up with my mix going stale and having to mess around with mixing it and getting the mix right with the variable quality of the 2 stroke oil I was buying.

I have started using aspen and cant speak highly enough of it. I am almost through my first 5 litres and have another 10 litres in reserve. My saw is performing better and I no longer have to dispose of stale mix. It is more expensive on a litre by litre comparison but I suspect that the reduced wastage will significantly mitigate the extra cost. I can not recommend it highly enough.

Hi Ben,

I am please your getting on well with Aspen!

This is the thing I try and get across to possible Aspen users that they have to look at the bigger picture and all the benefits that the product has to offer!

All the best

Eddie

thanks guys,

some great advise and ideas there :thumbup1:

i find i am using the saw every few days now, i got a load of 3 foot logs to cut up and split for firewood.

i am only buying 2 lt of fuel at a time to ensure i allways have fresh fuel.

i think the saw will see much less work over the summer when my stove is not needed.

chris.

I think your bike is water cooled. You need 2stroke oil designed for a water cooled engine because it runs cooler and so oil for an air cooled engine can soot it up.

Chainsaw 2stroke is for air cooled engines.
