It's important to return the screw in it's dedicated position, otherwise exhaust gases will burn a hole in the top cover.

 

On the 560 it's actually recessed into the metal, the hole doesn't go through

I think it tends to be aftermarket exhausts that run straight into the inside, genuine seem to have stopped/discrete holes that can be left unblocked.
