I think it's about a 4lb head Jon. It is a fine axe and does it's job well. I was impressed just by the fact that with just one axe you can split a big gnarly round up, split one of the bits into kindling and then make a feather stick out of a bit of that to get a fire going! You'd have struggled to cut yourself with my last splitting axe ha!

Na the helco 2000 series is a great splitting mauls £75ish easy changeable shafts or heads lol

 

One of the bolts in the head has snapped on my vario 2000, any idea where I could get a replacement? Having a bit of bother with supplier as it appears Helco may be going into administration.

 

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the Fiskars x25 and x27 please?

HI MARC here it is mate :thumbup1:the x25 weight 2430gms 722mm long and the 27x is 2600gms and 915mm long all the best jon happy new year to you your wife mate:thumbup1:jon all taken from fiskars wed site uk :thumbup:
