My philosophy is don't worry for a minute how much anyone else is making, its not a competition unless you make it one! Are you happy with what you earn, forgetting about the grass cutters? If so don't sweat it, if not ask the boss for more or go elsewhere

At the end of the day, we're all just gardeners dangling on a bit of string :001_tt2:

Do you climb and cut trees every day ? I used to drive a triple mower when I was a lad and loved the job but the money was not good when starting a family and I went into foundry work then factory work for more money (a lot more ) There are always other options if you don't think you are getting what you are worth but doing your workmates down is not one of them. If there's only a finite amount of money to go round your increase will have to come from somewhere and the boss is not going to give up any of his share and if you are turning up for work with a resentful attitude it will soon sour your outlook and your work will show it.
