Are you talking about employees or the self-employed??

I'm sure there will be some self-employed guys who make good coin cutting grass through the summer.

Not sure why an employer would pay climbers rates to some one who's cutting grass?

It's employees I'm talking about. Well £8 a hour isn't a climbers wage or is it?Because the grass cutting is on the same!

Loads of landscapers have bought chippers over the years , then some of the lads will do their climbing ticket . I'm sure if they are on the books there will be times they do a bit of everything.

I run a tree surgery business and do grass cutting 2 days a week in the summer. I also pick litter and empty dog bins 3 mornings a week and grit in winter.

my wage is the same all year round.

Tomorrow I am gathering sheep on a farm.

Yeah they do and until relatively recently they were on a considerable chunk more as apparently it was a more dangerous and labour intensive job than being an arborist it took 2 years to "correct" the misguided minds of our management
