Thanks, will take a look at both these. Do they track vat and auto fill in my vat return for me like quickbooks does?

Kashflow will do your VAT calculations automatically, then submit your VAT return with a mouse click. Couldn't really be easier. :)

Good topic,

I started using QuickBooks desk top 2 years ago. My dad recommended it to me hes used a few, and finds it very simple (so I thought if he could do it id be a venerable bill gates)

My problem now is Ive had to go VAT reg and set up a Ltd company. my accountant (who also recommends QB) has backdated my VAT reg and asked me to set up a new company on QB back dated to the new company start date.

So,,, how do I import just the acconts from the start date?

Hi Steve,

I've been using QuickBooks Online for about a year and two months now. Generally speaking it has been very good. Certainly the ability to send out invoices and check client balances on the hoof is very useful.

I would say go for it with the caveat that it does not seem to integrate ugly with OS Mavericks yet. Sending out invoices on Friday it kept crashing when I sent out invoices and then duplicated them.

I have a feeling this will be rectified fairly quickly though.

How would maverick integration be relevant to the software running when its done through a browser?

I use FreeAgent. Its really really good. Google it and let me know if you want a 10% off referral code. They also do 30 days free trial.

we also use freeagent. Is easy to use and does everything I need it to. Admittedly I dont use it to its full potential but it does all your VAT and it provides you lots of nice graphs to looks at.
