I'm after a hilux

One of lifes big mysteries why land rover have never made a disco pick up,they been coughing them out for over 20 years,and must have lost a fortune in lost sales by not producing one.

turbo issues, also toureg got a rear corner tip from a micra at under 20 mph and completely fecked the chassis, there trying to get too much power from too small an engine, google amarok turbo problems, 2 litre bi turbo engine in a work vehicle?

HI MATE and clutch your right about to much power on small engine mate 400NM of TQ and the toyota only 325NM OUT OF A 3LT ENGINE thanks jon

I see no problem with squeezing a lot of power out of a small engine if the engine is up to it. I have an s3 which is only a 1.8l turbo and that's at 210bhp as standard, a simple remap would increase it to around 250-260 and with a couple of other mods it could be at 340-360 and of all the people I have heard of doing this, none have had a problem apart from having to upgrade the clutch to cope with the extra power. It all depends on if the engine is capable

HI COLETTI audi s3 yes 250/260hp yes but 340/360hp you need larger turbo like you said clutch larger injectors too as my brother do some think like it with a t5 camper that going to be over 200hp get good side wind on and your into the hedge :001_rolleyes:thanks is the S3 4WD thanks jon

on an s3 or car yeah no problem, on a commercial vehicle towing and working for prolonged periods give me the bigger engine not working as hard any day.....

i see the new bluemotion cars with there amount of technology and think ill stick to old school as long as possible!!

My landrover ain't ever let me down, sure things go wrong but there soon fixed. My mate has a hi lux and he has troubles like others do. My landy has had to pull a hilux across a wet field as the hi lux got stuck:)
