Sanglier is bored and frustrated.

His French dream a crumbling ruin and his only outlet other than the bottle is having a pop at his worthy collegues on here...hhh!

Here's my crumbling ruin. How's your state provided social housing?

I think that there should be a clear difference between the usual banter between regulars and the way the forum members treat newcomers who are genuinely searching for answers to their questions. In the current atmosphere of truth and reconciliation, if my posts have actually offended then I apologise.

I find your use of the word "disappointed" a bit well, disappointing:001_smile:

Whats disappointing is that John has made the effort to steer the forum on course and still some people have to try and create issues. Frankly I'm finding it hard to see what(if any) positive contribution certain members make to this site. Things are going to change.

Looks nice sanglier, lawn looks like it needs watering though, pay a Frenchman to water it, they like standing round not doing much.

I will openly admit I am one to chuck fuel on the fire, but, we don't need to badger newcomers about PPE and all the other crap that comes with the trade! If someone wants a chainsaw for chopping logs under 12" dia. we don't need to skip straight to large pro saws either!

In the case of the PPE thread, what I said WAS out of line, but people shouldn't start on the offensive, a simple comment pointing out the comment is out of order will suffice, not the usual 'you're an ass, you should be shot, if I did what you did, I'd have been beaten by my boss, my family would abandon me, etc.' because this immediately provokes the slagging matches, such as the PPE, running from a chipper, the vacuum cleaner delivered to the wrong house threads (those are the ones I remember off the top of my head).

Yes, I'm fully aware of that, I'd typed out the comment, hit send and then thought about how I had worded it, so it didn't appear as the joke I'd intended

http://www.ukriversguidebook.co.uk/ is another forum I use. It's openly run as a dictatorship. Anything Mark doesn't like, goes.

Best of luck!
