Help me out here, what's the difference between the 400 and the 401?

 

One is a screw, one is a push button? 

 

Which do people prefer?

 

 

Edit:

Lanex website suggests 400 for rope,  401 for cable. Seems like something they might want to put in the paper catalogue.
