tipper conversions

That 2.5 tons is with 2 guys in it and nothing in the back so payload would be 8/900kg which isnt even worth it for how much money they cost! I prefer are l200 same payload much better to drive better on fuel more compact goes in tighter areas etc etc if we converted the l200 to a ali tipper i think we would end up with over a ton payload.

 

I agree all that moolah for a wheelbarrow load of chip in the back. Crazy:confused1:

lol you guys make me laugh i have already done the thread about whether to get a landy or not and i have decided to so now what i want is info on people who do the conversions!

 

for those saying about the weight of chip i can "legally" carry, now i am ready to be proven completely wrong on this but the difference in weight between a landy transit l200 iveco isuzu tippers all rated to 3.5t is minimal, by the time each of those trucks is rigged up ready to use in the manor i require they are all going to weigh just over 2t! or have i got it massively wrong, i do profess to knowing nothing about this so tell me all

In my opinion a hilux/ranger/l200 extra cab would legally hold more weight than a transit/iveco/lr because the size of load space is smaller meaning less weight of materials used to make up the tipping chip box. Could be wrong but this is just how I would look at it

Not all these vehicles are plated for 3500kg gross. A lot of defenders are 2950 to keep them away from class 7 mot. I would say in most cases the transit has a better payload than a 110 but I am no expert I am sure there are more knowledgable people on here than me.
