last year was a wet year so there is probably a lot of larch being felled but it cant be sold on the open market if it infected in south wales

 

There was a short article about that on BBC breakfast late last week, what is planned to happen to that timber?.

All the timber from Wentwood is infected and going to Pontrilas saw mills for processing in a controlled environment, which is ironic when all the lorries are un-sheeted! I've spoken to WT about buying timber but haven't heard anything back. There are very strict rules so I don't think its even worth perusing!

I agree, I enquired about some larch felled behind my yard, its infected so they cannot sell it to me BUT they can move it on unsheeted lorries halfway up the country on the M5!!! :wtf:
