Nice 1, wear good gloves, ragged wire under your nails isn't cool.

Thanks Steve,very good advice, today I was spoilt as wire rope new. Good gloves for handling wire rope any suggestions,as wire rope wires can be extremely dangerous/painful.

In which forum should I ask about recommendations for "REALLY GOOD" ,practical waterproof forestry clothing and boots, I do not care about "image!" I just want gear that does the job.

I'd recommend the husky waterproof jacket, not breathable but nothing is when it's raining and you're cutting. It's not too expensive, easy to work in and pretty tough. As for gloves, you'll wand leather palms as there a bit more hard wearing and trickery for wire to penetrate but not impossible. One thing though, you'll want heated handles on your saw if you're handling wet wood then using a saw with gloves.
