Looks like a nice truck that.

Is that some type of plastic they use for the sides or is it a plastic coated alloy? Any ideas?

Since your fairly handy in the workshop I thought that you would give it a go yourself :001_smile:

They've use thin stuff to save on weight as they have put in vertical stiffeners and 19mm kick board round the bottom to protect the stuff.

I've priced the materials to build just a box on the back of my existing body using 14mm glasonite, which is fibreglass coated ply and the materials work out at around £1200 without tailboard, hinges or a lockable full width tool box.

I reckon with a toal new floor out of ali as well you'd be looking at £2000 in materials and a couple of days to build, a couple of days to me on basic tree work is £700 - £800 so roughly £3k in total.

If someone will build me one for around £4k with warranty I'll let them have the hassle.

They haven't emailed me back with a price yet, must have plenty of work in. :sneaky2:

When you break it down like that yeah spending an extra 1k would be worth it.

I didnt realise the materials would cost so much :scared1:

Dean

They are a family run business, Steve and his wife run the office as well as workshop. Maybe they are on holiday?

The guys they have in the workshop would'nt answer e-mails.

They are good guys so i would 'nt want them getting any bad press on here.

Did you try ringing them?

Chris
