Instant Evergreen Hedge (Wanted)

TRADITIONAL LOGGERS

Hello all. I need some ideas for an Instant Evergreen Hedge. 200M +!

To be located beside a main road so will have road salt blowing on in wintertime. Some good sunshine but rootbase will be in shade behind low stonewall. Needs to hide most traffic so at least 2M High.

I had considered a mesh fence with Roses, Russian Vine, Honeysuckle, Ivy but timescales on growth is a concern.

Alternative is someone localish careful removing a hedgerow with good roots?

Try this.

Elveden Estate Instant Hedging Grown on the Norfolk and Suffolk Border in East Anglia

I had some hornbeam 1.8m high from them last year in March and it is fantastic. They have all sorts of hedge species and various heights.

Woodworm

The griselinea is extremely salt resistant and grows in mine waste.......

I would say the hornbeam you mentioned will get burned by the road?:confused1:

'Elvedon Estates' based in norfolk do mature hedges ready to plant in sections.

  • 4 months later...

Still have an urgent need for the instant hedge as in a week's time the local council planning committee are going to decide on Tourism Lodges and claim wooden cabins are alien forms so have to be hidden all seasons. This is the same council who have voted over 12 months to use this site as a new Travellers base.

Please look on Derbyshire Dales District Council website. Application 13/00838/FUL
