Hi Johny, did you try the new ranger at all, as i am currently stuck between getting the new ranger or d max. both seem fairly similar on spec, and like both of them. went on a test drive yesterday and found the d max engine a bit more noisy, and the clutch bite very late. sounds like your very pleased with yours though, perhaps i should give the d max another go in case i tried a duff one. cheers. Peter

If the **** does unfortunately hit the fan, what are the after market parts like for isuzu? Only ask, cause I'm keen to get myself one, just wondering if im likely to have to get it done, and parts at the dealer...or on the cheap.

If you get a new one you will not have to worry about any major issues for at least 80k when you do the genuine parts are not that bad I just bought a clutch for mine for £250 me and a mate fitted it in about 4 hours. If you had the work done at Isuzu it would be at least a grand. Had the disks and pads done £135 for parts. The weak points that you can only buy genuine are the barrels in the ignition and the key fobs.

Unless you manage to get a demo model, the waiting list for Rangers is over a year apparently.
