used the 242 for climbing brilliant saw, had a 254 for the ground work again could not fault it:001_smile:

have two 357 husqies BAG OF CRAP:thumbdown:

i dont have much experience with saws as yet but i use the 357xp at college and love it, very fine line between that and a 034 stihl.

wat is it you dont like about them ?

im not keen on the 353, seems to jump alot when doing bore cuts

my 357xpg has been one of the best saws ive ever owned it will probably melt its piston on monday but in 2 years its never had one problem cant fault the power weight or balance either i would buy another without hesitation....ive had friday afternoon dogs from both stables though its just luck of the draw!

its in a different class the ms 260 is like a pencil sharpener really ....last time i was given a ms26 to do a job i brought it back in a box of bits...the nearest comparison is a 346 xp wich is supposed to be the best in its class but i imagine its more on par with a 353 and i wouldnt choose it over that either.

ms260 = 50cc, its the lightest in the class, and will run up to a 15/16" bar with authority... not my choice of saw tho...

357xp= 57odd cc closer to a ms361... both very similar in performance, with the 361 edging it.. a good choice with up to an 18" bar

imagine a really angry 353, on speed, with a grudge against wood.... and youve got a (new edition)346xp
