As per title really.

Going to have to make one as have recently damaged myself handballing heavy lumps about. Also having read other threads it sounds like a processor is only half a machine without one so just makes sense

Thanks

Not much, logs rolling forward under their own steam are a pain.

My Japa rack is about 2m long and has a rise of about 225m approx. from memory but using the multiple holes in the legs this can be adjusted,

Put plates onto the bottoms of the legs to stop it sinking if not on hard standing. You can always fine tune the angle using bits of scaffold board under the feet.

Build additional front to back beam (s) to allow the loading of short ( say 5 foot) logs.

This is the only pic i can find of ours, theres hardly any downslope on it really but the logs roll nicely. As you said its half the machine without it!

Out of interest, what processor is that? looks nice and compact. thanks james

Well had a mess about today with whatever was lying around and even this bodge up works pretty well. Got enough roundwood (that' for you TCD) onto this to fill 3 crates and just loaded with tractor and forks.

A question for you.

If I build a raised log deck as per usual do you set it up with room for you to fit between the in feed on the processor and end of deck? The reason I ask is when the roundwood is a bit awkward they sometimes need a shove to get them onto the in feed. If there is no gap it is a along walk around to give the log a push.

Hope that makes sense.
