Hi all

I might have a chance to get a load of popular for firewood have seen some conflicting opinions so can anyone else tell me is it any good and what would you pay

Secondly anyone on here from northern ireland selling loads of hardwood

I burn it no problem and sell it and customers are happy with it, it does burn quite fast when dry same as willow, the trouble with it is its very wet when split, so takes a while to dry and once dry really needs keeping under cover as it acts like a sponge and will soak up rain if left in the open, last lot I bought was off a site clearnace so only paid haulage as they just wanted it off site, worked out at £3 a ton, at that price I'll burn it all day :laugh1:

Burns fast but spits if not dry enough not our favourite wood but OK if you have a wood burner or Rayburn (or any fire with a door)

Great wood, splits easy ,throws out good heat although burns fairly quick. I have a stand of dead poplar which I leave and cut down as needed so not to get wet

Thanks waiting on a price at the minute for it

What sorta price are yous paying for a load of softwood

Iam getn loads between £1200 &£14000 for seasoned timber
