Not really that new and has been in for a while.

 

Although it does look good it does have its uses and some uses it doesn't. It wouldn't be the first thing a trained medic would actually reach for. The Israeli dressing is what they would go for straight away.

 

It may have some use but if you are in that much trouble with a chainsaw chances are you have gone through your leg and would bleed out before help got anywhere near you.

 

Plus the size will restrict its use a lot.

the average chainsaw wound isnt a nice clean cut that you can just clip the edges closed...its more like something out of the mincing machine, israeli dressing, direct pressure bandage or heamostatic dressing of some sort
