That is a Anemone Hupehensis.

Commonly known as Japanese or Chinese Anemone and also as Thimbleweed or Windflower.

 

They love to grow amongst other flowers.

They grow tall and erect and have many flowers on each stem.

They are robust and the flowers are long-lasting.

Mine start to flower in mid August and carry on 'til the end of September.

 

I have introduced them to mixed borders where they thrive.

Be aware that they will multiply annually by throwing out suckers.

So, unless you want to allow them to spread, you will have to be vigilant.

Hesperis,Lavatera,Lunaria,Phacelia,Anethum,Eurca,Plantago

Trifolium,Iberis,Cheranthus alionii,Foeniculum,Calendula,Agrostoemma eoeli

 

I have a soil mound at my yard which has a surface area of about 1/4 acre, I plan to scatter it with seed so should look cracking next year

Dean get some Agastache, very nectar rich. Also try some Buddleia Globosa,

We keep honey bees and these are two of the favourites not only for our honey bees but also the bumblers and butterflies. Add in red clover and you'll be on a winner. I have a list of plants for bees that I can post or pm you if you need.
