Interested in this as i'm DDRT and want to move from a VT to SJ, but would really like to explore SRT, so it would be handy not to waste £186 while i spend forever getting round to a rec climb locally to try the alternative.

Regards,

Steve.

I run this setup as i like the way the spiderjack has no sit back (it locks on the rope where it stops??). Running it through the wrench still works well, just need to run the tether through the thimble or velcro. If your used to a rope guide it takes a little while to get used to the extra friction and you will probably need a new cam if going from 12 to an 11mm rope but i like it. Hope that answers questions

A few people did mate, they're just not that common. I think Matt Warden used it for a while.

Think matt has moved over to a lock jack now and prefers that. The spider jack sat an an angle

Not a great picture as you cant see it running through thimble and my tether is got great but seems to work for the moment. A little refining like all these things.

Cant paste an image so its an instagram link. Will get arbtalk app on my phone and try again

How well does that self tend? Do you still keep the spider jack close to your bridge? Does the rope wrench not get in the way when pulling the rope from above?

I`m quite interested in this setup.
