Have to be moving some serious firewood to make that pay. Maybe when I upgrade to another machine wf will be the one!

 

I think you'll need to be doing softwood sites and cutting to mills specs and doing quality broadleaf sawlogs to the timber buyer to make that baby pay. I also expect that it would need to be a site behind as well. Guys cutting the next site while that forwards the last one 20 hours a day.

Tigercats cost much more than that and you don't them then either. The WF tracs are much closer to forest machine than agri tractor.

Found a komatsu 840tx in the uk bit over budget but everything else is rare as rocking horse sh**!

 

Any ideas on the quality?

From what i hear The komatsu,s are meant to be well built with valmet running gear and the cranes are strong , the only down side is the cost of parts . but hey that's only what i am told , having had a look and sit in the cab of an 840 i would say that they appear to be operator friendly
