new pot and barrel

So I've picked up a 346xpg for a little to much money and in short it needs atleast a piston maybe the barrel I'm fishing for feed back on non genuine kits or should I bite the bullet and go genuine ?? Any help please

I would check the cylinder and try to see how it cleans up first. If you can save its always the best way to go.

Aftermarket pistons if you buy the likes of meteor, episan or hyway will do a good job.

Cylinder wise meteor prob make them if you have to go down that route.

hi mate, golf pistons are good too,put one in my 281,seems to be ok,as already said see if u can save the pot

My experience of seized 346XPs is that they do score the cylinder but you may be lucky. I do have a nearly new OEM kit but would need a good offer to part with it:blushing:

 

If you go Chinese - make sure the cylinder has closed transfers as the originnal does! If you go this route , fit OEM or Caber ring to the piston!
