If you've got money to spend then I can't recommend Norrona jackets enough. Used them in some terrible conditions, including multi day trips mountaineering in torrential rain and never once have I got wet, from sweat or rain.

 

My current jacket from them is the Norrona trollvegen dri3. A simple durable design.

 

I had one of them, very comfy and breathable even when not raining, ripped easily though :crying:

Got the roldal jacket too. Quality brand

I did like the army gortex ( sorry Steve ) the hoods on those are so big and designed for wearing over a helmet it makes them a big plus nothing worse than being bone dry but water dripping down your neck.. Not great practically for climbing but good for grounding apart from the camo !
