As the title suggests I'm looking to convert a 372xpg to run Stihl 3/8 .063 chain. Reason being that at work we have 2 stihl 362's and a 660 which all run on the same chain so have a roll and a maker and breaker so we can build new chains when we need them.

Problems we are having so far is sourcing a bar for the 372. We can get one to run 404 chain but can't find anyone that can supply one to run 3/8 .063.

Can anyone help???

You can get a bar mount adapter to run Stihl bars on Husky saws . There was one on fleabay . They are made by Oregon I seem to remember .

Anther option is making metal rings that fill out the gap between the bar bolts and the inside of the Stihl mount slot.

Often it isn't quite as simple as using the adaptors though. You also have to either lengthen the slot in the Stihl mount bar a bit forward, or use a slightly longer chain (1 or 2 dl). Lengthening the slot is the better way to do it.
