ive found tho that the rope will pull over the pulley tho because it wont twist with my weight leaning back on the rope with just a krabby on the cs.... i might adapt an old cs and cut the small 'ring' off and thread it through the big 'ring' that way the cs will be able to twist more, i guess tho a swivel would be the best option

i dont like your setup. i have my crab going through the end loop of the cambium saver then lose the small ring and the shackle. then put the pulley on the crab. much better.

and by the time you done all that, youve got something that has cost nearly as much as a rope guide but still doesnt perform as well

not when its already in your kit, fair enough if you had to buy it all then yeah you might as well get a rope guide, but ive got all the stuff already so cost me zilch,

really want a rope guide tho!!

New forest,

shackel needs to be rated and needs to be captively locked off, a mascine screw would be better than a thumb screw, use a locking compond or lock nut, see komet or art stuff for reffence.

a small maillion might work better for you as a

replace ment for the small ring and reduce wear,

The system as you have show is loading that kad incorectly, that shape needs to be loaded down the spine, the set up has move 50% of the load toward the gate. Find a kab with a shape deising to have load accross the top radius or try a mallion delta.

i use very similar set up to you new new forest except i have a petzl treesbee cambium saver and have replaced the small mallion with a 4 way mighty mouse krab works realy well, the only problem it gives me is that the larger ring sometimes crosses my pulley and traps the rope

forget the shape of the krab, i dont understand why you have this system. its none retrievable? doesnt make sense to me. all you have to do is pass the crab thro loop end of you cambium saver with pulley attach to it. as long as you have a spliced eye or a small stopper knot on the end youll never have to climb up and get it. with your system you might as well us a £4 sling instead of a cambium saver.
