Our other halves.

There was a thread a while ago asking for pictures of your other halves, and I did look at it. It was all well and good, but a bit unsatisfactory. It did get me wondering, who are these people and what do they do.

I've been with Bid for 14 years now and we have 3 kids. Mungo, Lola and Tilly.

Not only is she a fantastic mother, but a very talented craftswoman.

She is a Book-binder and conservator, specialising in making bespoke enclosures for old and important objects, some of which are deeply cool (I've had the boots that Hillary wore to climb Everest in my house).

She can make a m2 box out of millboard that I (15 st) can stand on and it won't collapse. She is also a qualified Tool-maker, which I find very handy and sharpens tools way better than I can, let her loose with a knife and her Tormek and the results are scary sharp.

So come on big up your missus here.

My other half has none of the above.

But.

She runs the house, looks after the kids, ensures they have clean clothes and food, ensures I have food when I come home, moans and stops me spending all my money on tools or toys, and gives me unconditional love.

What more could a man possibly need.

My partner has a very stressful job in the city, her 5 yr old son who is severely autistic is dropped of 5 mins after she gets home. He's on the go and doesn't sit down till he falls asleep, sometimes 11 pm. She never loses her temper with him and her only objective for him is that he's happy.

There's always shredded wheat in the cupboard for me when I'm staying(that's love) and makes time for me also.
