Why not take a look at the FSI ST20B, awesome little grinder with a turntable for easy grinding, a 13hp Honda engine and 370mm cutting wheel, take a look at our website and give me a call,

New and used stump grinders :

thumbup:

Is there a self propelled model on a turntable?

Good machine ed but expensive for what it is.

Depends on how you look at it, compared with some of the cheaper opposition the FSI offers huge operational benefits such as a bigger cutting wheel, independent brakes on each wheel and a large slew ring which makes the grinding so much easier on the operator. I would call it good value for money, specially at the end of a full days grinding with one:thumbup1:

The ST20B is the only pedestrian grinder in the FSI Range, the next size up, the D30-470 is a 4 wheel x 2 wheel drive machine with hydraulic steering, so sorry there is no 2 wheeled self propelled FSI.:thumbup1:

Ed,

How much is the ST20B pedestrian grinder?

What cutting depth can it achieve?

I understand its not self propelled which is a problem if you want to load in the back of a pick up truck, how much does it weigh?

What are the length, width and height of the machine?

What's the stock availability?

Do you have any machines available for demo in Essex area?

Thanks for the questions, The ST20B Retail price is £4375 + VAT but we would be able to do a good discount on that

The cutting depth is published at 200mm but it will cut to approx 250mm

it weighs 125kg

L=**1800mm W = 680mm H = **1100mm (** dependent on adjustable handle position)

Available ex stock

I am aiming to be in the south the first week in Feb to speak with a couple of prospective dealers, I will be happy to bring the ST20B with me and give you a demo, give me a call if you are interested on 07880 646067.

that goes for anyone who might want to see it or is interested in becoming a dealer for the FSI grinders:thumbup:

I used to hire a Laski 18hp machine before investing in our Bandit.

It weighed 195kg against my 63kg and was not self propelled although it was electric start.

Worse was the lack of any clutch so the wheel turned immediately upon starting.

Expensive to hire, tiring and unsafe to use.

Stretch out for an HB20 Sidewinder if you can:thumbup1:

Thanks hoping to get a demo fairly soon of the bandit sidewinder.

Do you have any gripes with HB20?

Nothing that Global didn't sort out.

It handles differently than non-swivel machines.

You've got to always ensure a level surface to work on and sometimes that means cutting a step for it when working on a slope, I've had mine over on it's side 3 times.

Things like belts and bearings are much less expensive from specialist dealers but Global always have them in stock and some-times it's better to pay a premium to have the part there and then via 24h delivery.

The French Bandit supplier laughed at the HB20 and thinks it a waste of time so I deal with Global instead. Chalk and Cheese in terms of service.

Grease bearings twice daily and stay on top of belt tensioning.

Blow out the filter daily when the going gets dusty.

The pro's out way the con's .

Also it comes up like new if you wipe it down with white spirit and give it a wash. Don't karcher it, you'll push water into places it doesn't belong!

I had an RG 13 mk2 for 3 years, served me well, I had a multi tip cutter fitted and it was great BUT it was hard work, you had to push it about, so getting up a slope was hard graft and that's before you started grinding. Then the grinding was hard work as you are moving it side to side and the small wheels dig into the ground, big stumps are harder graft and not worth it IMO. I sold it and got a Bandit HB20, brilliant machine. Worth the extra as you won't need to change. You can do any size stump with ease. You can get it on finance for about £180 a month which is worth every penny. I now don't look at a stump and think "oh heck, this is gonna hurt"
