The thought of tying my rope round the base of a tree and me being up it!!

Sends shivers!

Little trolls with loppers could sneak out and cut it or someone could untie it!!

My rope, only I can be in charge of it.

I always make my anchor point my tie in point, even if I leave my base anchor on! That way I know is idiot proof from the little devil trolls and loppers ;)

I have no regrets and no problems using a single leg of rope for me it makes more sense and less demanding on my arms!

I always tie in with my lanyard whilst I'm cutting. Can't see why you wouldn't what ever system you use.

I climb and work SRWP.

I can see the safety advantage of having two main lines however, it must be so slow.

I can imagine it slowing me down to the point where my daily income is reduced by 20%, of course I could be wrong.

I'm all for safety so if I'm wrong I'd like to know about it and I'll buy a Rope Runner.

This is all I have at the moment. I since have put a swivel on both bridges. This was an elm growing in both sides of the power with four service drops. I had very stable work positioning. I would say that not every situation calls for DRT. But approaching every tree with two ropes gives you the option when needed. It is much easier to just drop a rope if it gets in the way than to add a rope if the situation calls for it. I have been surprised at how often it improves my situation to have two ropes.
