I know, and your English is better than 90 percent of people on here and much, much better than my French:001_smile:

I was unashamedly fishing for a compliment there....

And spell check hides a lot of the mistakes I would make.

So,

I've got a "no it's the councils job"

A "yes"

And an "if you do you might get sued"

I thought that there could be possible Criminal Damage implications if a member of the public 'did it themself'. :001_smile:

Provided they did no more that was needed to exercise the right of way I don't see an action for damage getting anywhere, it makes no difference who removes the obstruction.

I wasn't sure if it would be seen as the member of the public acting ultra vires. Surely, being the UK, 5 minutes tutting and a strongly worded letter to the local paper would be the correct response. :001_smile:

Or you could get your vote hungry elected official involved, there is nothing they wont stoop to for half a chance of another vote.

That would work around here!

My wife sent one of those "take action now!" Emails to our local councillor last winter when it was proper cold, about what they did to help the homeless under such circumstances.

That evening he was knocking on our door to explain that they'd put the single homeless guy in a B&B for the night and they'd send a social worker out next day to help him make up with his mum...
