Arbortec Scafell boots

Most of the stitching came undone and they were just starting to fall to bits not good on a pair of boots at that price ... I believe josh had the exact same problems... So possibly they have resolved these issues as I imagine there would of been a lot of claims for money back.

I have had them for a bit over a year and they have these worn parts where your big toe is and stitching is coming through , also a very rigid boot just small things that slowly wear out but the sole and everything else held up ok, i recently got a pair of haix at another company and they are really good very comfortable straight off. I'd reccommend some other boot..

Fair enough, I have had them for around 9 months now and when they are finished I will try a different brand out but I would recommend them from my experience but as I said earlier I would go and try them on at a dealer first, anyone round Liverpool way come and try them at our shop.

I checked out some reviews on them and they weren't favourable. Issues with the water proofing and stitching mainly. I've had two pairs of Meindles and they have been excellent. If you're predominantly on the ground though, the soles will wear quite quickly. I have just bought a pair of the Stein Phantoms which seem OK so far although not as warm and comfy as the Meindles.

I think a mate has these, are they a green/yellow colour? If it is then I'd go for haix or meindl instead, the inner sole is coming away after only a year and not very waterproof from what he has said.

You would get a new pair or a different style if you talk to Arbortec.

Well I saw these at my local dealer today, tried them on and ended up walking out the shop £400 lighter by the time I'd had some new trousers and bit and bobs :blushing:

Will be interesting to see how they compare to Airstreams. I like the stiffness and the design seems well thought out- little ball bearings in the lace holders!

The spikes on the underside should come in handy for forestry work. I want to try some Meindl Timbercats too- soon as they actually turn up in the country I will buy a pair of them as well.

I'm hard on boots, get about 8 months from a pair of Airstreams.
