finished the first pistachio bowl that for obvious reasons i'm going to name the yin yang bowl.

i've rough turned some of the pagoda tree i recently obtained and it looks great so i just have to hope it dries as well as the previous stock i had.

 

this one is 15 1/2" diameter.

this solid ripple pair are a nest of two and the bigest is about 8".

well i've got some more of the pagoda tree drying including a nest of three from a crotch...

i've also go some laburnum roughed out which i'm drying very carefully as it can easily split.

also a strange bit of elm that is mostly sapwood but i could see was going to make something very interesting.
