Hi Steve stunning work as usual,we now have a big Clarke lathe in our workshop but haven’t had time to have a play on it yet ,need a Chuck for it so I can do bowls etc , the truncheon is my fav the grain in the handle is ace

wehey, no more skittles.......

 

for a while anyway.

 

just done these two column bases this week for a local joinery.

 

made from tulipwood that the customer glued up badly they are 18" at the base and 8 1/2" thick when constructed.

 

it was my idea to put in a central dowel to make it easier to construct the lot perfectly concentric when he comes to glue and screw them together.
