How to find out reg number from vin number

Hi does anyone know if its possible to find out the reg plate of a vehicle when you only have the vin number?

You can get it from the etching on the passenger side window . Traffic cops can do it that way but how you interpret it I no not . Same applies to vin number but you would need access to pnc .

it is now. was going to send off for a log book soon etc

Bear in mind that the reg no. can be changed, the VIN no. almost certainly not.

Think of them in similar terms to the IMEI and Calling Number of your mobile.
