Evening.

Having driven 6.5T trucks for other people in the past they were off the road for a service every 6 weeks. I have heard of a restricted O licence that entails a fee etc etc but does it still have to have that service every 6 weeks

just after a bit of info' before I talk to whoever it is I need to talk to?

Thank you gentlemen

I have requested 12 weekly checks and think ill get it as im going for restricted too

Also if you work within 100km (62 miles) of your opperating centre you are exempt from tacho rules as long as you are carrying your own goods to do with your work and fall into the catagory forestry/horticulture/fisheries.

Also you are exempt if you work within 50km (31 mile) of your opperating centre and your train weight does not exceed 7.5 ton

12 weeks is quite a distance between inspections, I would be interested to know how you get on with that.

Ours are 6 weeks and I have thought of going for 8.
