Particularly agree about the tetanus jabs and medical attention. Do gloves help prevent this?!

only them overly massive gauntlets!!!!! but some times the black thorn still gets in, ive had one nr my thumb once and u couldnt move my hand for the rest of that day!!

I was wearing sthil gloves at the time, it went clean through.

24 hours later and my thumb is still very swollen, but not sore like yesterday.

I bathed it in hot water and savlon and took a couple of ivebrufen, it seems to be doing the trick.
