Just wondered who has got it and how it has helped progress your career as a result.

I know its quite costly and it wont be easy.

Ultimately I want to move into Consultancy and it looks to be my next step.

I think I'm going to bite the bullet and give it a go.

Any advice ?

I'm down to do it at Merrist Wood in September, I was informed up to the information day a couple of weeks ago that the cost was £850 but government have pulled funding so is now £1800. I would say if you want to go into consulting as I do its the logical step to take. Look at the cost of the PTI 3 day course which you wouldn't need apparently after this course and I think the prof dip is still well worth the money. :thumbup1:

Passed management day last year.

Treelife will tell you to expect your life to be turned upside down, and you will stand there and say ok, and sub-consciously you will be thinking it will be alright ill manage etc. But never a wiser word be said, Prof Dip will test your resolve, your relationship with your wife, kids, mates, workmates, the dog and anything else that you currently have in your life. My gf nearly left me by the last few months. I did it the old way and it was significantly harder than tech cert. But the new way is extremely heavy. You will come out the other end, if you're lucky haha, with an abundance of knowledge that you will be able to apply.

It is the application of the knowledge that is fundamental to passing PD Arb, you just have to acquire the relevant knowledge to do it. At least it was when I did it.

Good luck, and I am not being dramatic but you are going to need it.

Treelife are very good at their teaching in my opinion by the way.

Remember the Professional Diploma and the newer level 4 diploma are not the same thing. The old Professional Diploma is now the level 6 diploma. The newer level 4 diploma is more of a tech cert equivalent.

The level 4 diploma is well worth doing. It does take up a lot of your life which is particularly taxing for those with children and businesses but you will find it an excellent entry level qualification into consulting covering a reasonably wide variety of subjects. If you are prepared to put the time in then it is time well spent.
