Al-ko lawnmowers…anygood??

I am looking at getting a 470 br premium or a 520 br premium. They are a 4 in 1 mower.

 

Has anyone got any experience with these mowers ? Any reviews?

see what others post but having seen alco stuff do not rate it. best bit on them is the engine. i would spend the money on a good second hand honda,mountfield, toro. if it is in good nick will lasts longer than a new alco will

Are you going to use it for contract cutting or just own lawn.

I am going to use it for both. I don't do too much contract mowing, say about 1 day a week. They are quite large lawns.

Not going day after day then. Had 1 about 4 years only problem so far was 1 of the front wheels fell off. Good point is the plastic box not cloth on most others.

Same the front wheel on mine has just fell off last week:thumbdown:, Apart from that there good but not the best of the best.

I have sold hundreds of these mowers over the last 10 years and they have been very well received by domestic and commercial users.

 

They are not built to a commecial standard, and of course could not be at the price they sell for.

 

But they are very durable and offer probably the best value for money when compared with other steel decked machines of the same size.

 

ALL users report back that these mowers perform extremely well, with many commercial guys saying that they are the best mowers they have ever used.

 

Yes, the front left wheel can fall off if not correctly tightened on PDI. I always add a locknut to the shoulder bolt before delivery to prevent this.

Don't do it Harry!! I bought one your on about from where your Likely to be looking at them, terrible pick up, always leaves grass clippings behind and you have to go over it twice, find mine slow as well, but there good for mulching I will say that. Come and have a go if you want, make your own mind up.
