Second that on the filler caps . Well described .

Merci,

its not like you can ream then tap them out to put a screw cap in, perhaps one day Stihl will see the light & get rid of them or offer an adaptor to convert them back to screw thread caps.

Hi all,

Having crossed the channel, survived the A3 & braved the perils of the "low emission zone" whats that all about? do we have to stop breathing out & farting to prevent more CO2 & methane? along with some fairly hairy traffic we collected our 365XTorq from FR Jones this morning & I treated my O/H to a new Silky saw as well.

Many thanks to those who helped at FR Jones, well worth a visit & nice business you have.

Got 12 cubes of fairly sizeable oak arriving soon, so heres in anticipation.

Not sure you guys do much modding over there. But, a 560 with a muffleur mod is pretty strong. It won't have the torque of a 365xt, but it is a great all-rounder.

I got a 560 with a muffler mod ( and maybe other mods to software but dont know ) The exhaust can was opened up and the cat removed completely then welded back together . Big improvement..........

I know what you mean about prices in France, they can be pretty steep. I just put in for a new 372xp the rrp for it is just over €1000. Told him I am Professional with a siret number and they knocked €300 off, so thats always worth knowing when buying stuff. Going to see if they will do the same for a new mower.

Yea he did . But I don't know to what extent as he was very secretive about it :sneaky2: I know he has modded the muffler as there is a new weld line all the way round it where he has removed the cat . After that all he would tell me is a " little tweek here and a little tweek there "! > I think he has done some thing to the software as there is absolutely no issue with the auto tune and no hot star problem . It hot stats like an older saw .

Possibly, I've heard some tuners reset them to factory settings, I would imagine he's done a normal porting otherwise
