Tickets these days don't mean much too me, they just tick certain boxes, I worked with a lad not so long ago that had LOTS and he thought because of the tickets he should command top whack, the truth was he was very green and fairly useless.

I assume you're talking about Glendale. In which case you won't be paying for any saws or their up keep. I know other companies that insist on you buying and maintaining your own.

8 pound odd???? Get yourself to Asda, least a tenner for stacking shelfs!

Going rate unfortunately. Least you get holiday pay, sick pay, pension soon (if not now) use work vehicle all day, use company saws/equipment etc, all PPE supplied. It won't be taxing work all day everyday. 8 hours then go home an forget about it, for a second climber it seems like an alright deal.

You're right BUT when I had 5 years experience I was probably on about that pal

I were lucky then I left college to 10ner an hour. I am part squirrel tho

I was a lead climber on utility work for a couple of years, had a 3man team including myself, held permits, fitted earths and had all my certs. All for £8 an hour and I know it would have been another year before I saw any rise...they payed for all my certs and gear and were a great bunch of guys but the money was piss poor so I left. Seems to vary quite a bit over the country
