I may have a long term private contract coming up to mow and strim for a customer. I have not got a clue how much to charge for it ( by the hour).

The mower is a 17" cut. Obviously I can't charge as a arborist rate.

Any ideas?

+1 how big is the lawn is it cut and collect or mulch it, how much have you got to strim how long do you think it will take you to do it. how many times do they want it cut fortnightly through the summer. how far to get to it or is it local.

let us know and may be able to give you a ball park figure.

if its a big lawn be there a long time with a 17inch mower.

you can work out the lenght of lawn by width by your cut so how fast does it take to do one run and how long multiply by the widht this will give you the time it will take to cut it.

plus fuel and depreceation of mower and blade

why ask for a rate, why not just decide what you will be happy with.

I need a ball park figure to start from. Happy with and to cover costs are two very separate sums
