550 xp or not?

went to arb show Saturday looking to buy new saw got to the husqy 550xp looks nice feels good but 2 blokes by me said not a good saw . would like to here other views saw is for general use as thining and fire wood and regular use. Good show as well lots to see:thumbup:

I've got one and I think it's a great saw plenty of power picks up quick. We use it every day and I will pick that one up over any of the small saws we have.

The only small point is that it can be a pain to start when warm but that's only due because I forget to follow the correct starting procedure!

Bought the 550XPG version as a backup to my 346xp.

 

Starting is occasionally a pain, but pick it up before the 346 almost every day. On a 13" bar its a wee animal. On a 15" it's sound.

Had a brake-band go recently. Known fault and husky now have a new brake-band out for it.

 

Its well balanced and a cracker for snedding. Used it with both 13 and 15 on logs all day.

 

I would buy another one tomorrow (but I've just bought more shiny and the wife would kill me)

 

Oh yeh, and because its not Stihl, you can buy it online.
