I wonder if he knew what hit him?? Looks a bit confused...... would he be left with a charge in him or would it entirely pass through??

He isn't a Duracell:laugh1:, the charge cant stay in him and if it passed through it would have boiled any fluids, if it is real and I don't think it is, the charge must have tracked through his clothing or water on it.

A few years age we ran for cover from some heavy rain. As we watched lightning struck the tree we would have been working on and blew lumps of it weighing in at several kg 50m into a field. A dray became instant crispy critter.

I was working in the woods once and the heavens opened. We cracked on then it started coming on ridiculously heavy. The climbing was finished but we still had a fair bit of clearing up to do. It got so heavy and then a bit of thunder so we grabbed the tools and ran about 300metres back to the truck.

We were sat in the truck waiting it out when we heard what sounded like a bomb going off. A tree about 50 foot to the left had been struck by lightening and when it traveled down to the main union it was like a bomb going off. The whole woods and cab lit up like a camera flash. You have never seen 3 arbs leg it so quick from the truck. I half expected to hear the freak as the tree collapsed so I headed for a clearing.

The tree never fell, we thought best to get out of there for the day but then we realised we had to get a tracked chipper out and an aluminium ladder back to the truck.

As you could probably guess, nobody wanted to get the ladder... ;)

Scary stuff but that story just made me laugh lots. :001_smile:
