Was in my local speedy hire today buying barrier tape (for h&s), overheard a conversation between two of the staff regarding a hired out porta-cabin requiring safety test for the....................................toaster & kettle!!!!

had to chuckle & suggest that I hoped all operatives had been properly trained in their use:001_tongue:

I know h&s is important, but come on!

I'm going to put this in my next risk assessment, and state that all toasting and tea making be done over a wood fire, situated at least 10 yards away from porta-cabin/buildings unless safety of installed toaster and kettle can be demonstrated.

We had our shed PAT tested on Wednesday.

The guy looked at the chargers for;

The digital micro probe

The extension lead for the MEWP

The Samsung ultra mobile PC

The Team mobile

The Oregan grinder

The electric fan heater

and most important of all the Shed Radio & Cd player :001_smile:

The guys company must make a fortune
