From another thread I saw that K+H wedges in the US were the ones used out there for felling/falling trees. They are light weight and designed to be tough.

 

 

I haven't had them long enough to abuse but they look well made and their reputation is solid.

I will get the 12" next time:

 

5.5" £5-50 each

7.5" £7-50 each

10" £9-50 each

 

All +vat but minus 10% arbtalk disc.

 

 

I will have these at the AA show along with Woodchuck log rollers, Sugihara bars and all the chainsaw mills (will be on the Jonsie stand).

I'll also get the 10" TT which have a smaller angle at the pointed end and larger at the back for larger trees - as well as getting the 12" in as well.
