The more enclosed/wooded/hedged the less the sound will carry. If there's an open body of water or reflecting quarry wall, the sound will be heard from miles away, though it will be deadened somewhat. 6am is a bit early to wake the posh neighbours though.

Hi

Got a little job in the country

home owners ant there as its a holiday home for them

posh area and dont want any complaints

Like to star cutting at 6am but dont want to wake anyone up

They have a field very large garden that wants doing at the bottom that is quite away from anyone but up near the house it ant to far from other houses

Just wondered how away can you hear a chainsaw from

HI TREE just get a hydraulic chainsaw theres only noise off the power pack :thumbup1:jon :thumbup:

6am is far too early, 8 on a weekday and 9 on the weekend.

 

Having been woken by the tractor in the field behind the house at just after 7 this morning I have to agree.

 

Sometimes (as with the tractor this morning) things have to be done when you can, but does tree cutting really need to be done at 6 in the morning? :confused1:

I will need to start early as I have jobs to do round the farm later in the day

 

Battery saws the way, nobody even knows your there!:)

I had a battery saw it was crap!

ater 5 mins of solid cutting the battery was flat even though it said 20 mins use 4hrs charge

and they only do them in 10" blades very slow and under powered indeed
