Things must be disparate when you godda drink chain oil . I presume thats how you know what it tastes like

I have now got a 25" Sugi pro bar in for the Husky 560XP and other saws running a K095 mount.

 

It is a long bar for that saw but we have sold them in the past.

 

Chain spec is .325 .058 92 drive links but you could change the nose to a 3/8 .058 nose if you wanted to run 3/8 chain.

Now bare with me here guys, I know the majority here wouldn't even consider it but have been watching some vids on YouTube, one in particular where a bloke has a comp between 361, 560, 372 and 440. He uses the same 25" bar and chain on each and cuts the same piece of timber, the times are as follows

 

361=36seconds

560=33seconds

372=36seconds

440=30seconds

 

Seeing these times would you consider running a 24" bar on a 560? Or would you still consider max bar to be 18? Something else I have found is that my 550 running an 18 cuts faster than 361 with a 16 hence why I am considering it but thought I would get some input from others before I make the decision

The main issue with a 24" bar an a 560xp is the balance - the powerhead simply is too light to reasonably balanse the bar.

 

About such cutting comparisons, they are basically worth nothing, as there are too many unknown variables involved.

Watch the video...the 562xp is as well balanced on a 24 as a 660 is on a 25. I'll let you decide after watching.
