Carving a house into a tree trunk..

We've been felling big ganodema infected beech over the last couple of days.

The nursery are keeping the stump as it has some interesting inscriptions and is a nice feature. The owner was asking today if we could carve out a house with some seats for the kids. Has anyone ever done anything like that..

 

I reckon it's pretty solid whatever the picus says...

 

I guess you would bore in and take out wedges.

Any one want to do it give me a price.

I've just done this one granted it's not hollowed but am working on this one which I have hollowed.

Hollowing out took a lot more work than I thought it would. I cut chunks then prized them out with a bar/sledgehammer.
