In the last picture I can't quite make out but is a mixture of oak and treated timber?

It is a mix, as the client needed to get the project finished in a hurry.

At some stage it is going to ripped out and I then have to construct a rustic style oak staircase and gallery area. :) (another job to try an fit in)

i used to do the bases for one of the barn suppliers

That was how I drifted into oak framing. I did just the same as you, then figured that making frames was the easier option and went from there. :)

just finished a commission for a few of these hangtags. 150mm long by 20mm wide and engraved using the laser. Double-sided engraving and made from locally milled beech, they will be used as hangtags on the Throwpods.

This is whats been paying my bills for the last 4 months. Old stable converted into a classroom/ function room. All lime/hemp plaster, lime washed. Wood fibre insulation and wall boards, old doors converted to one French door and one curved window. Pellet stove heating it and accimodation next door. Nearly done. Oak floor and fiddling to go.

Very nice work there Muttley. :)

Another week to go, and my latest project should be finished. It's dragged on longer than I would have liked, but as I mainly work on my own, I guess that it is hardly surprising.
